Considered is a brown mare foaled in Australia on 14 November 2021. Bred by Laing Racing Syndicate, she is by ten-time Group 1 winner So You Think out of the unraced Snitzel mare Blush And Smile.
Blush And Smile is a daughter of stakes winner Kiss From A Rose, connecting Considered to one of Australia’s most influential modern families. Further back in the pedigree are Northern Meteor and Smart Missile, two stallions whose speed and precocity left a lasting mark on Australian racing.
Considered is also a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Palaisipan, a Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara winner who earned more than A$1.1 million before being sold to Japan as a broodmare. It gave Considered’s pedigree genuine top-level credibility, even if the small, late-season foal did not command a premium price as a yearling.
Considered was offered by Widden Stud as Lot 252 at the 2023 Inglis HTBA Yearling Sale. Group One Thoroughbreds purchased her for A$30,000, a relatively modest price for a daughter of So You Think from a family containing several prominent Group performers and stallions.
That purchase received an extraordinary early return when Considered won her maiden at Dubbo in June 2025. The race carried a A$100,000 Inglis Xtra Bonus, meaning the bonus alone was worth more than three times her original yearling price.
Considered began her career with Cody Morgan and showed promise without immediately breaking through. She finished third on debut at Armidale in November 2024, then returned the following winter to record a narrow second at Inverell and another third at Tamworth.
Her fortunes changed when she stepped up to 1,400 metres at Dubbo on 29 June 2025. Considered won the maiden by 1.7 lengths, collecting the valuable Inglis Xtra Bonus in the process. She confirmed the result less than three weeks later, winning a Benchmark 58 at Tamworth over the same distance by another 1.7 lengths.
This part of the story is waiting to be written.
